Study Sites Overview
The Rocky Mountain alpine zone encompasses a complex assemblage of plant communities that change dramatically along a steep elevation gradient. We have established five main study areas along the Front Range of the Colorado Rocky Mountains ranging from subalpine forests at 2600 meters up to barren talus sites at 3800 meters in elevation.
